So here Is my second installment of Hachirock Festa 2012. A few of the engine bays that really caught my eye, enjoy!
Very clean setup of ITB’s and a 4AGZE head from the looks of it.
Cant go wrong with a 20-valve.
You could always stick with the ole’ 16-Valve and throw a huge turbo on it 🙂
Just be sure you keep it clean. Check.
You could keep it simple and sprinkle is some bolt-on’s. (Keep it reliable….yea that’s my style)
And maybe one day, slap some ITB’s on it.
Why not grab a 3S-GTE and boost it!? This thing has to be a beast. I wish he had a dyno chart on display.
Or leave everything alone except whats necessary to make a few extra tq’s. No fancy dipstick here.
One of 3 or 4 Impulse built cars at the event.
They sure do know how to make an engine beautiful and functional.
While the air box makes life a little easier you rarely see them installed on a 20-valve swap, kudos for practicality over flashiness.
16-Valves with FCR carbs. Tricky to tune but well worth the hassle (my favorite car of the day) .
Lets remember all of these bays started their life as this one still remains.
And to finish it of. My engine bay…in all its super plain, super weak, 200k mile plus glory.
Come back soon to see the many ways AE86 fanatics are customizing their interiors; from crazy gauges, fancy carpets,
and so many electronic gadgets you’d think you were in a Radio Shack.
