Well I’ve been on vacation for the last 2 weeks enjoying Canada. Then I come back to Japan to the unbelievable heat and humidity. I went from a nice dry 25 degrees Celsius to an awful 28 degrees + like 70% humidity. I feel like putting a load of desiccate in my pants to keep the southern region dry lol.
Weather aside it was nice to get home to Canada and see my tool box, like a shadow of my old self, sitting in the corner of my father’s garage. Then I made a trip to visit our new shop we (Driftnami Performance) are sharing with our friend Gabe from Tokyo Kei Auto. I was lucky enough to see the new load of JDM cars he just got in from Japan. It was nice to get out to dinner to see people I haven’t seen in a while and meet some new people for the first time.
Coming back to Japan was depressing to leave all that was in Canada behind and come back to Tokyo and sit in a class room spewing out English expressions to my students. Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy teaching and many of my students I really consider friends but the 5 hour breaks, flat rate pay system, no benefits makes me wonder what the hell I’m doing spinning my wheels here when I could be spinning them in a different sence and making a little profit for my family.
Maybe I’m impatient, or call it determined I don’t know. None the less I guess being in Japan is fun, but in a business aspect, for me, it feels sometimes like a total dead end. Ah well I’m probably just pist cause I have to spend another 2 hours of 3 hours in McDonalds using Wi-fi to kill time until I have to teach my last 2 classes tonight.
*End Rant *
